Uprising!

Uprising! the story of the 1549 Norfolk uprising led by Robert Kett. The enclosure of land and destruction of villages by the lords and barons to make way for more profitable sheep farming, left many peasant families destitute. Also the recent dissolution of the monasteries by Henry VIII removed the traditional help provided to the poor by the religious orders.

Uprising is about the origins and the tragic endings of this epic struggle. It has an important place in the development of democracy.
