Ruth
London, 1955. Crowds gather outside Holloway Jail, where peroxide blonde murderess Ruth Ellis awaits her date with the hangman. Over the next few hours, this damaged woman, who is in denial about her past, will undertake an emotional journey with a mysterious man who - unknown to her - is her executioner. She will recount her job as a high society nightclub hostess, her turbulent affair with an abusive upper class playboy, and the fateful Easter Sunday when she shot him dead. By the end of the story, both the condemned prisoner and her now reluctant executioner will be changed forever.
