Dead End the Musical
Adapted from the Sidney Kingsley play, Dead End the Musical, shines a light on the social ills of a time and place that resonate today: hunger, poverty, crime, class struggle, and economic and social inequality. Set on Manhattan's Depression Era East Side, a young woman activist seeks a better life for her and her brother, an unemployed architect envisions a better world, a kept woman clings to loveless relationship, and a notorious gangster returns to recapture the innocence of his childhood. Meanwhile, next door, the rich folks look down and the Dead End Kids roam wild.
