On Christmas day 2020, a father crashes his car and his son is killed. He is injured, recovers physically but remains angry and morose, trying to come to terms with feelings of guilt and sadness. On Christmas day in 1920, a mother causes the death of her eldest son under similar circumstances and with similar results. They both spend increasing time sleeping and they meet frequently in their dreams. Eventually they each slip into a coma. However, sometimes things are not always as they seem.
