The King's Wife
The new musical about Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn and a friendship that might have been. The King’s Wife re-tells the relationship between Catherine and Anne - the first two wives of King Henry VIII. Instead of being bitter enemies, as history paints them, they're like-minded good friends - plotting ideas for the future before they are stripped of choice, options and each other in a devastating game of politics and power. An untraditional period piece with a progressive vibe, it's a moving story about female friendship and how the world loses when great women are unable to rise. By Grammy-nominated composer Jamie Floyd and Mêlisa Annis.
