Think revolution, romance, mystery and one painting that changed everything…It’s Paris, 1863, and Claude Monet, Degas and Renoir battle The Salon, the bastion of classical art. The Salon’s Marquis teams with art critic Leroy to discredit Monet by accepting, “Morning at Le Havre,” attributed to Monet, though Monet calls the painting a fraud. Monet’s woes escalate when Aunt Elise cuts him off when he marries his model Camille, and he turns away, obsessed with work. Only when Camille dies, revealing the truth about the mystery painting does Monet realize the price he paid for his art. Cast: 10; 2 hr.
